I heard noises and laughter when she was supposed to be napping. I think she'll need a few years to grow into those.
My name is Jenifer, wife of Nathan and proud Mommy of the world's cutest little Munchkin -- Abby Gail. Our family began after years of wanting, trying, and praying, and we continue to pray that we will add more little Munchkins in the future! We love to spend time together laughing, playing, and making memories. I created this blog in an attempt to preserve and share some of our precious moments together!

Say What? - Part 4
I just can't get enough of Abby's funny thought processes and silly things she says. Her and I were on our own for dinner tonight (because Daddy started his EMT course and had to go straight to class from work), so she was begging me to go to Craigo's. (She loves their radiatore noodles...which she called Ratatouille while trying to pronounce it.) As we were driving in the car, she asked if I was going to get a soda. A few months back, I just sort of stopped drinking soda. I had a couple around the holidays, but for the most part, I just stick to water or juices. Anyway, Abby was asking if I was going to get a soda, and the following conversation ensued:
Me: "I think I'll just have water, honey."
Abby: "You don't like soda, huh Mommy?"
Me: "Actually, I DO like soda, but it's not really that good for you."
Abby: "It's not good for you, Mommy......but it's good for me and Daddy!!"
KID LOGIC -- It makes me smile.
The other funny thing she said tonight was regarding Nate's EMT course. Awhile back when he first got registered, we tried explaining to Abby what he would be learning. Apparently, she got a little more out of the conversation than I thought... When I reminded her that Daddy wouldn't be at dinner because he was going to his first night of class, she said,
"So Daddy can pretend to be a doctor, right?"
It cracks me up the way her mind works! She's too funny and I love her so much!!

Latest Antics
Some of the Munchkin's latest happenings!
Just this evening, my lovely daughter decided to throw an unholy fit. We were watching "Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs," and she decided she wanted to eat something. Only problem....she'd been warned she would receive no snacks tonight, because she simply refuses to eat her healthy food at dinner time. Long story short, there was weeping, wailing, and gnashing of teeth when she was sent to bed, and after begging and pleading for the chance to eat her dinner, we allowed her to get up. She'd been sitting quietly at the table for a couple of minutes when I turned to look at her. This is what I saw:

I wish I could say that we didn't stay angry after seeing such a funny site, but the truth is, she wasn't really eating her dinner. Turns out, she was just pretending .... the master manipulator triumphed again! We quickly put an end to her stall tactic, and she was sent back to bed, where she (at this very moment) is still tossing and turning instead of going to sleep. Sigh.
A few days back, Abby called out for me to "HELP!" Apparently, climbing up her closet shelves is much easier than figuring out how to get down ~ Jan. 9, 2010

Abby's Creative Side
Abby loves her new V-Tech Digital Kid's Camera she got for Christmas. She can play games on it, take pictures, shoot videos, and even do some photo-editing. (Which, by the way, is just as amusing for as adults as kids....you'll see why when you see the collection she's altered thus far!) Here is a sampling of her work:
